How can I make my reservation?

What is a tour director? What does a tour director do?
Go Ahead’s extraordinary tour directors are there to introduce you to the local culture and history of your destination. They also organize daily activities and handle all tour logistics along the way.

What kind of hotels do you use?
We carefully select our hotels to ensure the best possible experience for your travel dollar. Every hotel that Go Ahead uses is chosen based on location, comfort, cleanliness and local flavor.

In all of our accommodations, you can count on a private bath or shower. Rest assured that all hotel taxes and tips for restaurant service and baggage handling are included in the price of your tour.

What airlines do you use?
All round-trip air travel on our tours is on regularly scheduled flights with major airlines. It is always our goal to get you to and from your destination with a maximum of comfort and convenience. We now feature business class upgrades, available on select tours.

Who takes our tours?
Our travelers are people who love to see the world, learn something new and experience other cultures. Whether you prefer to travel as a couple, on your own or with a group of friends, you’ll be in good company on a Go Ahead trip. The variety we offer in our tours attracts a wide range of travelers.

How many travelers will be in my group?
The size of your tour may vary. Normally, our groups will have 25-35 travelers. In some cases tours may run with as few as 20 people or as many as 46.

Can I travel at a discount if I organize a group to travel together?
Yes! As a Group Coordinator, you can earn two free spots on any land tour by recruiting 12 full paying travelers to go with you (or earn one free spot on any Land & Sea tour with 10 full-paying travelers). You can also earn cash and Global Points, which you can redeem for travel and gift rewards.

When should I make my reservation? Can Go Ahead hold a spot for me?
We recommend that you make your reservation as early as possible to guarantee a spot on the tour and to lock in the current tour price. Many of our travelers reserve their trips six to nine months in advance. If you would like us to hold a spot for you, please call us at 1-800-590-1170 to make a 72-hour risk free deposit of $300 deposit per person for land tours or a $450 deposit per person for Land & Sea tours or cruises.

Does Go Ahead offer travel protection?
Yes. We recommend that all travelers purchase a protection plan to cover them while traveling. Our TravelSafe Plus Plan includes Medical, Baggage and Property, and Cancellation & Interruption protection. Additionally, ask one of our tour consultants about our Anytime Protection Plan, an added benefit you will receive when you purchase TravelSafe Plus within two weeks of making your reservation.

How do I get in touch with Go Ahead Tours outside of office hours in the event of an emergency?
A Go Ahead Tours representative will be available for your assistance 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency. If you have a question or concern that needs to be addressed outside of the regular office hours, please call the customer service line at 1-800-597-0350 and press 9 for immediate assistance.
